My name is Nancy Hearn and I started this site because I have a deep appreciation for water and all of its health benefits and life-giving properties.

Nancy Hearn

I am a certified health and nutrition consultant, certified YogaFit instructor, and fitness adviser. I specialize in natural health, body hydration, weight management, and disease prevention.

Since 2013, I have worked at Sprouts Farmers Market and I am a vitamin department manager. My work experience at Sprouts has provided in-depth education to help me gain a better understanding of the value of homeopathic remedies, herbs, nutritional supplementation, and natural health and beauty products.

I have also had the opportunity to attend regular monthly trainings with some of the top natural health educators in the country. Perhaps more importantly, I talk to numerous customers on a daily basis and hear their feedback on what has or has not worked for them.

You might also notice a number of articles on the site written by my son Merlin Hearn. He is an avid athlete and outdoor enthusiast.

He also has a B.A. in writing and has researched and written several important articles on water pollution and water contaminants.

My Initial Interest in Water as an Athlete

My interest in drinking water began many years ago, growing up on the desert in Phoenix, Arizona. During my teens, I was a competitive long distance runner and we trained 10 or 11 months out of the year.

Thus, it was essential for me to understand how to balance water and electrolytes, especially before, during, and after long training runs in hot weather.

What I did not know at the time was how critical full body hydration is for optimum athletic performance.

I certainly would have paid a lot more attention to the amount and type of water I drank if I had known. Thus, I now eagerly share these hydration tips with other athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Inspired by Masaru Emoto's book
The Hidden Messages in Water

My interest in water was renewed again in the 80’s when I read The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto. If you haven’t read this book yet, I highly recommend it for its inspiring message and insights into the amazing properties of water.

When I started health and nutrition consulting in 2001, the importance of drinking water became more apparent. I discovered that a large percentage of the people I consulted had chronic dehydration symptoms.

So I continued to educate myself about how water works in the body and about how to prevent and recover from chronic dehydration.

I studied the works of many water experts, the most notable authors include: Dr. F. Batmanghelidj (Your Body’s Many Cries for Water) and Dr. Mu Shik Jhon (The Water Puzzle and the Hexagonal Key).

My Search for the Healthiest Drinking Water

In addition, I began my own search for the healthiest drinking water. Over the years, I had tried just about every drinking water available, including tap water, a wide array of bottled waters, well water, reverse osmosis water, distilled water, alkaline water, and ionized water.

What I discovered is that all drinking waters are not the same. Some types promote health and longevity, while others can actually speed the aging process.

So the purpose of this site is simply to share what I have learned along the way — and to continue to learn from others on a daily basis.

I am expanding the scope of this website to increase awareness about the larger, compelling issues of water pollution and water shortage in the world. . . .

With kind regards,

Nancy Hearn
