Dear Water Friend,

Did you know that nearly 75% of our population is chronically dehydrated?

Are you part of the 75% who are dehydrated? Or are you part of the smaller 25% who are hydrated?

How do you know if you are dehydrated? If you have any of the following symptoms, you most likely are dehydrated:

  • Headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Constipation
  • High blood pressure
  • Skin disorders, including dry skin
  • Asthma or allergies
  • Joint pain or stiffness

These are just a few of the typical signs of a long-term drought management condition in the body.

How to Rehydrate Your Body

The good news is that re-hydrating your body is not expensive, nor does it require significant dietary or lifestyle changes.

It simply involves consuming enough clean filtered drinking water, day by day, to restore the water balance in the body.

Drinking clean water is certainly not a cure-all, but it is the foundation of health, along with oxygenation! Nothing in the body will work well if you are dehydrated--even if you are eating live, organic foods , exercising regularly, and taking nutritional supplements.

The way in which your body utilizes water is very unique. Nothing replaces water in the body!! Not ice tea, or soda, or coffee, or sports drinks, or alcohol, or fruit juice, or any other liquid for that matter.

With the hot summer months coming, it’s important to re-hydrate your body now. Here are 4 simple steps:

  1. Drink enough water daily. This means drinking one-half ounce per pound of body weight daily. So, for example, if you weigh 130 pounds, you would drink 65 ounces (about 2 quarts) of water. Increase water intake during exercise and hot weather.
  2. Drink water instead of other fluids. The way in which your body utilizes water is very unique. Nothing replaces water in the body!! Not ice tea, or soda, or coffee, or sports drinks, or alcohol, or fruit juice, or any other liquid for that matter.
  3. Drink filtered water. Tap water and bottled water contain many unhealthy contaminants. This has been proven in test after test. Investing in some type of water filter is simply the healthiest and the most economical choice
  4. Drink regularly throughout the day. The most important time of day to drink water is first thing in the morning. Throughout the night, during sleep, the body has been detoxifying and drinking water upon arising will help to flush the toxins out. Drink 12 to 16 ounces at a time, preferably between meals, and sip small amounts of room temperature water during meals.

Is It Possible to Drink Too Much Water?

Yes, it is possible to drink too much water – but it is highly unlikely. You would have to drink large volumes of water within a very short period of time.
