Water Benefits Health News -- Drinking Water Can Affect How Fast or Slow You Age

Water Benefits Health News, Issue #43

December 7, 2016

Hello,,

How much water you drink and the type of water you drink on a daily basis can affect how fast or how slow you age.

”Reverse Aging” is the topic of our feature 2-part article series in this issue. I believe that we, as human beings, are designed to live with good health and well being for 100 plus years.

Even so, I am not so much concerned about how long I live, but rather how well I live. How about you?

I suspect that most of us want the relative freedom of a sound body and mind to pursue happiness for the duration of our lives, however long it may be. And as many of us have experienced, good health is highly beneficial for this pursuit, although certainly not the only factor.

The articles in this issue will cover some of the key causes of accelerated aging, and what you can do to slow (or possibly even reverse) the process.

On another note, as I continue to research the issues for so many people around the world who do not have access to safe drinking water, my heart goes out to those people.

And I am reminded how blessed we are in the U.S. to have relatively safe drinking water in most of our cities. Let us do what we have to do to preserve our drinking water and protect our environment.

Also, please remember that even though most tap water in the U.S. is safe to drink, it's not necessarily healthy.

I encourage everyone to take control of your drinking water and consider investing in some type of water filtration system for your home.

Many good wishes of health and happiness to you and your family this holiday season!

Reverse Aging, Part 1: Antioxidants and Water

Since ancient times, people have searched for the fountain of youth (some magical food, potion or device) that would help them live longer. Is it possible to slow down or even reverse the aging process? To answer this question, we need to first understand the process of aging.

There are certainly many factors, but in this article series I will discuss just two of the known causes of aging: (1) free-radical damage and (2) accumulated waste in the body.

Millions of metabolic processes are occurring within our bodies all the time. These processes require oxygen and can create harmful by-products called free radicals, which are known to cause cellular damage.
