Water Benefits Health News, Issue #59

February 19, 2019

Hello Water Friend,

Most of us naturally tend to eat heavier foods and get less exercise during the cold winter months.

Unfortunately, heavier foods and lack of exercise can cause a buildup of toxins in the body, leading to various uncomfortable symptoms such as fatigue, lack of focus, headaches, digestive issues, and a depressed mood.

One of the easiest and most relaxing ways to detoxify and rejuvenate your body and mind during the winter is by taking a detox bath.

There are a number of detox baths to consider, even a simple bath with plain Epsom salt is effective.

However, you can add other ingredients such as hydrogen peroxide or ginger to really accelerate the detoxifying benefits and boost your immunity.

Whenever I feel even slight symptoms of cold or flu, I always look for quick ways to detox, such as taking a warm ginger bath.

Our feature article is about our most recommended detox bath, using Epsom salt and hydrogen peroxide.

After a long day of work, a warm detox bath is an especially good way to help relax and get a good night’s sleep.

Stay warm and healthy!

Best Detox Bath – Using Epsom Salt and Hydrogen Peroxide

The best detox bath that I have found is based on using Epsom salt and hydrogen peroxide. However, I think the term “best” is subjective and relative to individual needs.

In addition, when it comes to health, what is best for one person is not necessarily going to be the best for everyone. In certain cases, it can even be worse.

The reason I like the Epsom salt and hydrogen peroxide bath is because it is both detoxifying and relaxing. It is beneficial to be used with most any type of body cleanse or healing program.

When I had a family member who was dealing with cancer, a colleague told me that this was the best detox bath to mitigate the side effects of cancer treatment and to help draw toxins out through the skin without creating additional burden on the body.

David Jernigan, D.C., D.N.M. writes that not only does this bath therapy "detoxify the body and relieve pain, but it seems to also stop many infections quickly and help the body regain balance. Through medical studies, this therapy has shown to relieve pain that did not even respond to narcotic medicines."
