QUESTION:

How beneficial is lemon water for food intolerance and inflammation? About 5 years ago, I started reacting to corn in any form. So I withdrew it from my diet. Then later I started reacting to cassava in any form.

Then after this, I started reacting to almost every food I ate, including cookies, cakes, ice cream, chicken, etc. In fact, any nice food is now a problem to me. I am always sad when I have to enjoy a good meal. I do so and take anti-histamines afterwards.

Can you help solve my problems, please?

ANSWER:

In my experience, drinking lemon water is beneficial for just about every type of gastrointestinal problem, as well as food intolerance and allergies. However, drinking lemon water alone is not likely going to reverse the problems you are having.

Without knowing more about your health condition, I would suspect you are chronically dehydrated simply because of the food intolerance and inflammation.

In addition, I encourage you to read my featured article Dehydration and Allergies at NaturalNews.com to better understand the connection between histamine production and dehydration in the body. In this article, you will also learn 6 simple steps to re-hydrate your body. Water is the absolute best anti-histamine.

Hydration is the first step. The second step is evaluating your diet. Healthy eating is very simple: If it is not food, don’t eat it. Foods that are processed, canned, packaged, and fried are not going to help you.

The “nice foods” you were eating, such as cookies, cakes, ice cream are not going to help you get well either. In fact, your body was clearly telling you to stop eating sugar, right?

Do you know what foods weaken our bodies the most? Sugar, refined salt, excess animal protein, and unhealthy fats.

So what foods should we eat to be healthy? Fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, seeds, nuts, legumes. Those should be the bulk of your diet.

Moderate amounts of lean protein is ok, along with healthy fats, such as avocados, olive oil, olives, cold water fish (salmon, halibut), nuts and nut butters.

I do not know how many of these foods are available to you where you live, but if you eat more plant-based food, instead of a lot of animal protein, processed food, fatty food, sweets, and so forth, your body will be able to start to heal itself.

In addition to proper hydration and healthy eating, getting quality sleep, daily exercise, and keeping a positive attitude are essential to the healing process.

Your body can heal itself - if you give it the foods found close to nature, as well as plenty of clean water!

IBS and lemon water

COMMENT: A year ago I was diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). What a cop out for dr's that can't figure out what's wrong with a patient.

I did research and found out I was alergic to gluten. So, I eliminated that from my diet and have been pretty good, but still get extremely bloated and constipated now and then.

Once I started drinking lemon water in the mornings, it kept me regular and it has eliminated the horrific constipation pains. It's been a life saver!

Thanks to lemon water, my tummy doesn't hurt anymore.
