I am 52 yearS old. Since 2006 I have had problems in my system.

One night I had severe uncomfortable feeling like burning, hypertension, indigestion, forming gas, left hand numbness, frightening, feeling to go toilet, feeling that I am going to die.

I was taken to hospital admitted observation for 4 hours in the ICU.

When I was in ICU I was fully normal. After that they release me without giving any medicine.

From that time till two months ago I had same problem occur several times and I took so many medicines. Day by day, problems increased, even taking medicine.

Four times I was admitted in ICU hospital and also start positional vertigo, taking medicine for both. Some time doctors gave me blood pressure medicine.

I was taken full course 30 days. Doctor asked me to continue but I stopped taking pressure medicine. Because I am doing regular exercise, walking but all other time working in the office.

After drinking lemon hot water, I feel satisfaction in my system. I have full confidence in Lemon drink with hot water this small yellow fruit (AMRIT). But I am still a little worried about losing weight and vertigo.

How can I control and keep required weight? My height 1m 62cm and weight 57 kg.

WBH response:

Suresh, I am not a medical practitioner and cannot advise you in any way regarding your condition.

As a certified nutrition consultant, what I do know from personal experience with many clients is that if we give our body what it needs nutritionally and we learn to effectively manage our response to stress, often our body can heal itself!

Drinking a moderate amount of lemon water each day is a simple way to change the body environment towards alkalinity, improve digestion, and gently cleanse the blood and liver. But it should be just one small element in your total program to restore your health.

I encourage you to find a natural health practitioner or an Ayurvedic practitioner in your area who can help you restore balance in your life - body, mind and spirit.

The way we respond to stress significantly affects our health. Even though we cannot control many of the outer situations that bring stress to our lives, we CAN control how we respond to them. It is a mental choice.

In fact, I believe our thoughts and beliefs are by far the most important factor in our overall health and well being.

You can read more about effects of stress and negative thoughts and feelings on these pages:

Thoughts Affect Health - Change Your Beliefs to Change Your Biology.

Biologically, I believe that our health is dependent on getting the nutrients into the cells and getting the toxins out. This begins with proper hydration with clean water. Be sure to check out our article on the Health Benefits of Drinking Water - The Healthy Cell Concept.

THREE KEY STEPS TO RESTORE HEALTH.

1. Drink More Clean Water.

Committing to drinking enough water daily to achieve optimal hydration is the foundation of good health. If you are suffering from chronic dehydration (which I suspect you are), this can take several weeks or even months. You can find out how much water to drink on this page.

2. Eat Healthy Food.

To keep it simple, eliminate all forms of sugar and processed food, and you will be well on your way to improved health. Eat 5 to 6 servings of vegetables a day, especially dark green vegetables.

Many people lose weight and appetite when they are nutrient deficient. This often happens because of eating the wrong foods or from problems in the gastrointestinal tract, where the food is not properly digested and metabolized.

If your body is getting adequate nutrition from the food you eat, your weight should eventually stabilize. If you have G.I. issues, which it sounds like you do, a natural health practitioner can help you determine the best foods and supplements to take in order to help heal your intestines.

3. Help Your Body Remove Toxins.

Body cleansing is the next step, and drinking lemon water daily is a gentle way to start the cleansing process.

In addition to the lemon water, I suggest people consider a colon and/or full body detox at least twice a year with juices or herbal or oxygen-based products.

CAUTION: Anyone with a health condition or taking medications should consult with your doctor before doing any type of body cleanse.

The cleansing products I use are from Global Healing Center. They are gentle and effective and do not require dietary or lifestyle changes.

Our bodies are designed with four major pathways of detoxification through breathing, sweating, urination and defecation.

The problem is that all of us living on planet earth today are exposed to thousands of more chemicals and other pollutants on a daily basis than our relatives 50 years ago.

Thus, I think we have to give our bodies some help with regular cleansing and detoxing to remove toxic accumulation, which can lead to acidosis, inflammation and impaired organ function.

Anyway, I hope these tips will help you find your way back to health, your ideal weight, and comfort in your body.
