How can you use lemon water to cure diabetes?

Nancy's Response:

I would never suggest that lemon water or any specific food or beverage, for that matter, could cure diabetes.

Diabetes is a lifestyle disease. There are many components for healing, but I know many people who have reversed type II diabetes with diet and lifestyle changes.

The 4 major factors are (1) food choices (2) hydrdation, (3) stress management, and (4) regular moderate exercise.

I highly recommend that you watch a video called "Food Choices" which is an excellent documentary that explains the effects of food on our personal health, as well as how our food choices are affecting the health of our planet.

I have been a nutritionist for many years, and this documentary is the best I've seen with input from some of the most reputable and knowledgeable individuals in the field of health and nutrition.

The "Food Choices" video is available on Netflix or you can purchase it for about $4 on YouTube.com. If you do what they recommend, I can almost guarantee it will change your life.

Drinking enough water on a daily basis to stay hydrated is also an essential key. Water affects every function in the body.

Without adequate water, the body starts to adapt to protect the internal organs from decay. However, the body can only do so much for so long before things start to break down.

We have to replenish enough water on a daily basis for optimal health. You learn more here: Daily Water Intake - You Are Not Sick; You Are Thirsty

Food and water are a big part of the picture; however, it is still just one piece of the puzzle when trying to reverse a disease condition.

There is no getting around the fact that our bodies need movement. But you don't have to spend an hour or two at the gym to make a difference. A 15-30 minute daily walk will do wonders!

And then there is the impact of acute or chronic stress. It is a part of life, but our mindset and how we react to challenges in life can make a significant difference in how the body responds to stressors. Stress creates an overly acidic condition in the body, which is unhealthy.

Thus, it important to pursue avenues such as exercise, yoga, tai chi, meditation or whatever else you can do to manage stress better.

To get back to your question about lemon water, what I will say is that drinking lemon water in moderation can help support important processes in the body such as digestion and elimination, detoxification, and pH balance.

All of these benefits can help promote greater health and healing. To learn more, see Health Benefits of Drinking Lemon Water
