Boiled water with added lemon

Should I boil water, let it then chill overnight in fridge, then add lemon?

ANSWER:

I am not sure why you would boil the water, unless you know your water is unsafe to drink. Is it well water? If so, is your well water tested regularly? Do you use any type of filtration?

If you are drinking tap water from a municipal source and the water is not filtered, boiling the water will kill most bacteria, but it will not get rid of many other contaminants, such as chemical additives chlorine and fluoride.

As explained on other site pages, the most beneficial temperature for lemon water is room temperature.
