Water Benefits Health News, Issue #38

February 1, 2016

Hello,,

Have you ever used a vaporizer or steam inhalation for treatment of a cold or sinus infection?

Have you soaked in a soothing hot bath or whirlpool to relieve stress or achy muscles? Or have you ever applied an ice pack to an injury?

If so, you have experienced one or more of the many benefits of hydrotherapy.

I lived in Montana for nearly 30 years and enjoyed the amazing health benefits of soaking in natural, mineral hot springs—my favorite type of hydrotherapy. We lived within 45 miles of at least four different mineral hot spring pools that were open to the public.

I currently live in Arizona, and I really miss those hot springs! However, I have learned to enjoy the benefits of hydrotherapy in my own bath tub. So I am starting a series of articles on various types of healing baths and other forms of hydrotherapy.

The first article in our Benefits of Hydrotherapy series is on the “Ginger Detox Bath.” This is an excellent bath to assist your body’s natural detoxification process, especially at the end of winter and early spring months (before it gets too hot).

P.S. If you shower or bathe regularly (haha), you might want to check out our article on “Chlorine in Tap Water – Why Use a Bath and Shower Filter.” I consider this a high priority topic with a relatively inexpensive solution.

To your health and wellness,

Ginger Detox Bath for Healing and Rejuvenation

Taking a ginger detox bath is one of the best ways to sweat out toxins, especially if you feel "under the weather" or are stressed out.

For many years, I have relied on saunas, detox baths, and mineral hot springs to quickly and effectively remove toxins and boost my immune system, both for preventive and curative effects.

Since our skin is the largest organ of elimination, controlled sweating is highly effective for detoxifying the body.

However, you don’t have to feel sick to enjoy the many health benefits of a ginger bath. Ginger root is a powerful herb that has many uses, both internally and externally.
